PreDance is designed for children ages 3 & 4 and is a wonderful introduction to dance! This class encourages young dancers to build independence while nurturing their creativity and love for movement.

Our PreK/Kindergarten combo classes are designed for children ages 5 & 6. Dancers will continue developing independence while learning important classroom skills such as patience, respect, and taking turns. This class also focuses on building a strong foundation in both ballet and tap, helping young dancers grow in technique while continuing to foster their love for dance.

This high-energy class focuses on building strong foundational jazz technique while encouraging facial expression and personal performance quality. Dancers will learn and refine key jazz elements throughout the season, including progressions, turns, leaps, and center work, all while developing strength, coordination, and confidence.

Lyrical classes blend the fluid movement of jazz with the technique of ballet. Typically performed to slower music, this style encourages dancers to connect steps in a more expressive, artistic way, often performed in the center of the floor.

Tap is a high-energy, rhythmic dance style where the feet become an instrument. Dancers will learn to create clear, intricate sounds and patterns through precise footwork while developing coordination, timing, and musicality. Please note that due to the loud, percussive nature of tap shoes, this class may not be ideal for dancers with sound sensitivities.

Ballet is one of the oldest and most widely practiced styles of dance, built on a structured vocabulary and strong technique. Classes include stretching, barre work, and center exercises to develop strength, flexibility, and proper alignment. Ballet is one of the oldest and most widely practiced styles of dance, built on a structured vocabulary and strong technique. Classes include stretching, barre work, and center exercises to develop strength, flexibility, and proper alignment. As the most disciplined dance style, ballet provides an essential foundation for all dancers. With consistent training over several years, dancers may safely progress to pointe work. Placement en pointe is determined through a pre-pointe evaluation at the teacher’s discretion.

Hip Hop, originally a form of street dance, has become a favorite among many of our students. Classes include a warm-up, grooves, across-the-floor combinations, and center work. This high-energy, powerful style allows dancers of all ages to let loose while developing body isolation, coordination, and musicality—all set to the upbeat music they love.

Acrobatics gives the dancers a chance to perfect flexibility based tricks that can be incorporated into dance routines. These tricks take years of practice and this class allows our dancers to work on everything from cartwheels, balances, partner tricks and flips of all kinds. Enrollment in a ballet, lyrical, and/or jazz class is required to register for our acro classes.

My daughter has danced at Performance Dance Centre since she was 3 years old. She loves the classes, to perform, her fellow dancers, and her teachers.
